*DISCONTINUED* EAGLE 328 LT SPRAY ALLOY POWDER

The Eagle 328 LT is an excellent build-up on pump impeller shafts, pistons, conveyor shafts, bell housings and cylindrical surfaces.

Set Acetylene at 5 psi and Oxygen at 11 – 13 psi. Set torch to an oxidizing flame. Place the torch in a horizontal position to the work piece at a distance of 6” – 7” and traverse back and forth, fully covering the bond coat area to the required thickness plus .020”. Do not overheat and do not exceed 7000 F. Use 6000 to 6500 tempil sticks to check temperature. Allow to cool in the lathe before finishing. Use a sharp Carbide tool bit starting in the center of the deposit and working alternately towards each end.

The Eagle 328 LT is a high quality, economical aluminum bronze powder that is fully machinable. This powder is a self-lubricating low friction finish for bearing surfaces on all metals except pure copper.
