Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove rust, scale, grease and contaminants where practical.
Use the lowest effective amperage while maintaining approximately 1/4"–1/2" stick-out. Use a stringer-bead technique where maximum strength is required.

Where damaged or fatigued metal must be removed before welding, grinding or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes can be used for weld preparation.

Eagle ER70S-6 is an all-position copper-coated MIG wire designed for dependable welding of mild and low-carbon steels.

It operates with either 80% Argon / 20% CO₂ for a smoother, cleaner arc or 100% CO₂ where deeper penetration and economy are preferred.
