All-Position Gasless Flux Core Wire for Mild Steel Welding

Eagle 771-11 is a premium self-shielded flux-cored wire designed for dependable welding of mild steel in all positions without external shielding gas. Its soft, stable arc and fast-freeze weld puddle provide excellent control for flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead welding while helping keep spatter to a minimum.

Ideal for field repair, fabrication, construction, maintenance and outdoor welding, Eagle 771-11 eliminates the need to transport or protect shielding gas, making it especially useful where portability and convenience matter.

Suitable for single-pass and multi-pass welds up to approximately 3/8", Eagle 771-11 is a versatile choice for both shop and field welding.

No Gas. All Position. Ready for the Field.

Eagle 771-11 is recommended for:

Mild steel fabrication
Heavy equipment repair
Farm and field repair
Construction
Structural repair
Outdoor welding
Mobile welding
Maintenance work
Single-pass welding
Multi-pass welding up to approximately 3/8"

Designed for applications where all-position capability and freedom from external shielding gas are important.

DC Straight [–] Polarity

Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove fatigued or damaged metal where practical. Grinding may be used, or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes can be used where additional material removal is required.

Use the lowest effective amperage while maintaining approximately 1/2"–5/8" wire stick-out. Use a stringer-bead technique where maximum strength is required.

Eagle 771-11 is an all-position self-shielded flux-cored wire designed to produce dependable welds on mild steel without external shielding gas.

Its soft, stable arc and fast-freeze puddle make out-of-position welding easier to control while producing very little spatter. Eagle 771-11 performs well on both single-pass and multi-pass applications.

Why Eagle 771-11?

No shielding gas required — ideal for outdoor, field and mobile welding.

All-position performance — fast-freeze puddle provides good control in vertical and overhead welding.

Excellent portability — eliminates gas cylinders, regulators and hoses.

Low spatter — smooth arc characteristics help reduce cleanup.

771-11 or 771FGS?

Choose Eagle 771-11 when you need gasless welding, especially for outdoor, field or mobile work where shielding gas would be inconvenient.

Choose Eagle 771FGS when you have shielding gas available and want the cleaner arc characteristics and productivity of a gas-shielded flux-core wire.

In simple terms:
771-11 = gasless flux core for portability and outdoor work
771FGS = gas-shielded flux core for shop and production welding
