Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove fatigued or damaged metal before welding. Where required, use grinding or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes for weld preparation.

Use the lowest effective amperage while maintaining approximately 3/4" stick-out. Use a stringer bead technique where maximum strength is required.

Eagle 770MC is a gas-shielded metal-cored wire engineered for high-productivity carbon steel welding.

Its metal-cored design combines strong mechanical properties with a high deposition rate, low fume generation and the ability to perform multi-layer welding without slag removal between passes.

Choose Eagle 770MC when productivity, deposition rate and reduced cleanup are the priority, especially for flat and horizontal production welding.

Choose Eagle 771FGS when you need all-position capability, including vertical and overhead welding, with a fast-freeze puddle and traditional flux-core characteristics.

771FGS = all-position flux core + better out-of-position control
