Self-Shielded Build-Up Wire for Manganese Steel
Eagle 541GL is a self-shielded flux-cored open-arc wire specifically developed for build-up and repair of manganese steels. Its high-chromium, nickel and manganese alloy deposit is designed to remain relatively soft as welded and then work-harden in service, making it especially well suited for components exposed to repeated impact and crushing loads.
With a hardness of approximately 20 HRC as deposited and up to 55 HRC after work hardening, Eagle 541GL provides a tough, durable build-up layer for high-manganese components.
Ideal for mining, aggregate, crushing and heavy equipment applications, Eagle 541GL is commonly used on crusher rolls, manganese hammers, rail frogs, shovel pads, dredge pump parts, crusher jaws, dipper lids and manganese teeth.
Soft to Weld. Hard in Service.
