Eagle 1880 FC is a flexible flux-coated brazing alloy designed for brazing, build-up and overlay applications on carbon steels, cast iron, bronzes and brass.

It is especially well suited for restoring worn mechanical components such as gear teeth, bearings, shafts, pistons and valve seats, where strength, machinability and reliable metal flow are important.

Its low-fuming characteristics make it a practical choice for maintenance and repair work where conventional high-fuming brazing alloys may be less desirable.

Designed for applications where strength, build-up capability and dependable brazing performance are important.

Use a neutral flame.

Clean rust, dirt and grease thoroughly from the parent metal.
Preheat the general area and then heat the joint area until the metal reaches a dull red colour.

Melt a drop of alloy from the end of the rod and allow it to flow into the joint while keeping the torch in constant motion.
Multiple passes can be applied without removing the flux between passes.

Eagle 1880 FC is a low-fuming, flux-coated, high-strength brazing alloy designed for repair, build-up and overlay applications.

Its combination of strength, ductility and relatively soft hardness makes it useful for restoring worn components that may need additional finishing or machining after repair.

Choose Eagle 1850 FC when you want a nickel-silver build-up alloy with stronger emphasis on machinability, friction resistance and work-hardening.
