A High Quality Tungsten Carbide

The EAGLE P 22 is a high quality tungsten carbide in a tough nickel base powder. For use on mixer paddles, pug mill knives, augers, cultivator shovels, ash chutes, chains, hog hammers, guide nozzles, plungers, valves and debarker knives.

The surface to be sprayed should be cleaned and free of oil, grease, and scale. Use a grinder to remove oxides. Preheat base metal to 400° F. Use a 1– 1½ inch slightly carburizing flame and pre-spray area to be coated to a thickness of .004”. Release the feed lever. Heat until a sweating action occurs. Weave torch and add P 22 powder to meet dimension required. Cool slowly.

The EAGLE P 22 is a gritty tungsten carbide powder in a touch nickel based matrix that is used for hardfacing on steels, nickel alloys and cast iron.

Hardness: (RC) Approx. 60 – 64

Machinability: By grinding using a hard silicon carbide wheel

Weldability: Excellent
