Economical High Quality Low Carbon Build-up

The EAGLE 338 LT is an excellent build-up on pump impeller, guides, journals and starter motor shafts.

Set Acetylene at 5 psi and Oxygen at 6 psi. Set torch to a slightly carburizing flame. Place the torch in a horizontal position to the work piece at a distance of 6” – 7” and traverse back and forth, fully covering the bond coat area to the required thickness plus .020”. Do not overheat and do not exceed 700° F. Use 600° to 650° tempil sticks to check temperature. Allow to cool in the lathe before finishing. Use a sharp Carbide tool bit starting in the center of the deposit and working alternately towards each end.

The Eagle 338 LT Spray Alloy Powder is a high quality low carbon powder for all metals except pure copper. The Eagle 388 LT Spray Alloy Powder has a low coefficient of friction and will machine to a smooth bright finish.
